Jenin Day
The day started from Beit Sahour, towards Jenin in the bus, passing some roadblocks, which the group managed to pass through without stopping, noticing the long car lane coming from Jenin heading south.
Visiting the YMCA rehabilitation office in Jenin
When arriving Jenin, the group visited the YMCA rehabilitation office, where they had lunch, with discussion with the councilors and staff on the difficulties facing them getting to their client' homes in the various villages and towns around.
Meeting the governor of Jenin
Afterwards, the bus drove the group to the governorate of Jenin, where they met the governor, through a previously arranged meeting. The governor talked about the various political, economic, social, and educational matters and difficulties in Jenin area. He evaluated, as well, the international participants visit and seeking to see realities, and working for justice and peace.
Discussion with priest
Moving to Zababda village, the only Christian village in the north of the West Bank, the group visited the Catholic convent, school and church, where they met, discussed Christian and social related issues, with Fr. Iyad Twal, head of the school. Fr. Iyad talked about what it means to be a Christian Palestinian, living in the Holy Land, and answered various related questions.
Tourist village
The group then moved to a tourist village and garden nearby, with its beautiful natural views, where they had a wonderful time together, after which they moved back to the YMCA in Beit Sahour, being stopped and searched for Palestinian IDs and international passports at each of four roadblocks.
