waad2020Waa'd Abu Dhaher is a 27 years old farmer and housewife with 5 family members. Waad and her family live in Perin village (Bedouin community), east of the Hebron city.

Waa'd owns 2 dunums (1 dunum = 1000 m2) of land in the village, where the Israeli colony (settlement) of 'Maale Hever' was constructed 1,000 meters away from it.

Waa'd and her family, similar to the rest of people in Perin are subject to various Israeli army and settlers' attacks and measures including houses demolitions, land confiscations, and prevention of farmers, including Waa'd and her family, from accessing their land and reclaim it, as well as the destruction and confiscation of water and electricity network (pipes and wires).

In 2019, the Olive Tree Campaign supported Waa'd and her family with 50 internationally-sponsored olive trees to help them protect their land and Keep Hope Alive.
