Palestinians celebrate release of Ahed Tamimi
 Israeli military forces released Palestinian teenager Ahed Tamimi and her mother Nariman from prison on Sunday.
The pair were given a hero's welcome in their occupied West Bank village of Nabi Saleh and their release was covered by world media: Ahed and her mother spent eight months in prison and paid fines totalling more than $3,000. Ahed said she had no regrets for slapping an Israeli soldier, the action which brought down the revenge of Israel's military against her and her family.
"I did nothing wrong that I should regret," Ahed told Al Jazeera. "It was a natural reaction to the presence of a soldier in my home. The soldier came to my house, I didn't go looking for him in order to hit him.""I won't regret something that isn't wrong," Ahed added.
"Taught me to love life"
At a press conference following her release, Ahed said, "Prison taught me how to be patient, how to be in a group. It taught me to always love life, because when one is in prison everything feels more valuable.

Latin Patriarchate issues statement about new Israeli Nation-State Law
 STATEMENT – The recently enacted Basic Law: "Israel, the Nation-State of the Jewish People" is a cause of great concern. Seemingly enacted for internal political reasons, while defining Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people, the law fails to provide any constitutional guarantees for the rights of the indigenous and other minorities living in the country. Palestinian citizens of Israel, constituting 20% are flagrantly excluded from the law.
It is beyond conception that a Law with constitutional effect ignores an entire segment of the population, as if its members never existed. The law might not have practical effects, yet it sends an unequivocal signal to the Palestinian citizens of Israel, to the effect that in this country they are not at home. The Arabic language has been downgraded from an official language to a language with "a special status", and with the commitment to work on the development of Jewish settlement in the land, with no mention of the development of the country for the rest of its inhabitants.

Team Justice Scores. Adidas No Longer Sponsoring Israel Football Association
The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel welcomes the news that Adidas is no longer sponsoring the Israel Football Association (IFA).
Last March, over 130 Palestinian football clubs called on the German sportswear manufacturer to end its sponsorship of the IFA over its complicity with the oppression of the Palestinian people. The IFA includes six Israeli football teams based in illegal Israeli settlements that rob Palestinians of land and resources. Israeli settlements are considered a war crime under international law.
A spirited global campaign followed, with human rights supporters around the world calling on Adidas to end its sponsorship of matches on stolen Palestinian land. In June, over 16,000 signatures on an international petition were delivered to Adidas satellite headquarters in Amsterdam.
