20 members of the Ecumenical Movement in a training conference in Jordan

pyem-june2015A training conference was organized in Amman-Jordan, between the 25th and 29th of June 2015, for 20 members of the JAI-supervised Palestinian Youth Ecumenical Movement, member of the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF), in addition to some members of some WSCF leaders from Lebanon and Egypt.

The conference tackled various important Palestinian issues, mostly related to life under occupation and challenges facing Churches in Palestine and the Palestinian general community. Those topics included: successful leadership at the Church and within community, Kairos Palestine and its role at the ecumenical movement, human rights in Palestine, and others.
The conference included also discussion groups on: how to be a Palestinian Christian youth, the steadfastness in the Palestinian land, the religious fundamentalism and how to face it, and challenges faced by the Palestinian Christian community.

A meeting was organized during the conference with a local Church youth group in Amman, in addition to daily prayers, bible readings and reflections.
