Ronn Sunn March2022 1A 10-day program in Palestine, from the 16th to the 26th of March 2022, was arranged and hosted by the JAI for the Global Safari class of Sunnmøre Folkehøgskule and the Global Engagement class of Rønningen Folkehøgskule, both YMCA-YWCA Norway related partner Folk High Schools.

Their trip included guided tours with the JAI, where they witnessed the Israeli wall-settlements-bypass roads in Bethlehem, toured inside Dhaisha refugee camp, into Hebron old city, with the Israeli settlements and closures, as well as Jerusalem old city. Ronn Sunn March2022 3The Norwegian met and chatted with Palestinian students in Bethlehem University and Lajee Center in Dhaisha Refugee camp. A day program was arranged for them in Ramallah, where they visited Arafat Tomb and museum, and met the Tamimi Family in Nabi Salih village.

Briefings were given to the classes about the JAI work and the Olive Tree Campaign, geopolitical situation in Hebron old city, the Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions (BDS) Campaign, and the Israeli displacement policies and right of return at Badil Center. It also including olive trees planting, at a Palestinian threatened field in Nahhalin village, where they planted some of the trees Rønningen school sponsored lately.

Guided tours were also organized for the classes inside the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, Ibrahimi Mosque (Tombs of the Patriarchs) in Hebron, and a Palestinian Dabka Flore Dance was performed for them.
