This program works for the information, education and mobilization of Palestinian youth and works with them for launching different campaigns and initiatives, using different tools, and executing different activities to raise awareness and become advocates for Just Peace.

Youth training on the struggle' history and moving forwards

On the 27th of April 2018, the JAI organized a training program for 12 youth through the YWCA of Bethlehem, in the history of the Palestinians' struggle for justice and freedom and international factors including the WW1, as well as countries interests, Trump plans, and what could be done with mechanisms.

JAI trained Palestinian political ex-prisoners youth in BDS and Palestinian cause

training dec2017 2The JAI carried out a 2-day training, in cooperation with the YMCA Rehabilitation Program, on the 30th of November and 2nd of December 2017, for 19 Palestinian political ex-prisoners youth, from the Bethlehem and Hebron areas, in the ages between 16 and 19. The youth were detainees and prisoners at the Israeli jails for resisting the occupation and injustice.

training dec2017 3The first day was on the history of the Palestinian cause, started from the Zionist movement and colonization project to take over Palestine, division plan, Balfour declaration and the Nakba. It also included the main UN resolutions regarding Palestine, the updates on the so-called 'peace process' and some proposed expectations for the future, with discussions.

training dec2017 4The second day tackled the Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions (BDS) Campaign, its history, forms locally and internationally, anti-normalization movement, and the role of Palestinian youth in BDS.

Participants showed great interest, raised up good discussions / points, and willingness to start up initiatives at their communities, villages and refugee camps.

 

A training program for Palestinian youth in advocacy and BDS

training ywcabeth2017 1A training program was organized by the JAI, for Palestinian youth activists of the YWCA Bethlehem. The training was for 14 youth on two days, the 9th and 21st of September 2017.

The first day was on the Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions (BDS): its goals, importance as a non-violent mean of struggle practiced by the Palestinian and international community against Israel until it ends its occupation.

training ywcabeth2017 2On the second day, the youth were trained on advocacy mechanisms and tools to lobby for the Palestinian cause, including media, social media, campaigns and others. They were trained on carrying out advocacy campaigns and initiatives.

 

Training for 20 Law and Political Sience University Palestinian students in Just Peace

jp 17july2017 5From the 15th to the 17th of July 2017, in cooperation with the Alumni Unit of Al-Najah National University in Nablus, the JAI organized a training for 20 University Law and Political Science students in Just Peace.

jp 17july2017 2The training was on BDS: how it started, successes and impact so far, BDS forms, and the role of Palestinian youth in BDS and anti-normalization. It included also International Law, advocacy mechanisms and skills, and Kairos Palestine and its impact on the local and international levels.

Certificated were given to participants at the end, and the JAI is to follow up with these trained students on initiatives and activities.

JAI trains 17 youth from Tulkarem area in IL and advocacy

Tulkarem june2016 1A training program was organized by the JAI between the 31st of May and the 2nd of June 2016, for 17 youth from Tulkarem area, many of them are layers under training, other are studying political science at the university.

Tulkarem june2016 2The training, part of the JAI' ongoing Just Peace project, was in HR, its establishments and development and the international declaration of HR, WWII and the establishment of the UN, the UN resolutions and the Palestinian cause on the official international level.

The training also included advocacy and lobbying skills, items, and how to organize sustainable campaigns within communities.

The trainees came up with an initiative/campaign they will work on so related to children drop off from school, where they put an action work plan from legal perspective, with target groups.
