Youth Just Peace

This program works for the information, education and mobilization of Palestinian youth and works with them for launching different campaigns and initiatives, using different tools, and executing different activities to raise awareness and become advocates for Just Peace.

training26jan2021 2In cooperation with the YWCA of Palestine, under the 'Young Citizen' Project, a full day training was conducted by the JAI on Tuesday the 26th of January 2021 at the YWCA center in Beit Jala, where 8 students joined from the Bethlehem area, in the ages between 15 and 17, through the "Community Development and Continuing Education Institute".

training26jan2021 5The session was in the forms of exercises, sub-groups work and discussions, role-playing, students' presentations, and introductions and management by the trainers in the topics of Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions (BDS) Campaign, with its local and international aspects, and advocacy mechanisms and campaigns' management.

Training 25Jan2021 5On Monday the 25th of January 2021, the JAI, in cooperation with the YWCA of Palestine, carried out a-day training at Nafas for Empowerment organization.

The training was for 22 female students from Silwad, Betunia and Ramoun towns in the Ramallah area.

10 Palestinian youth from the Hebron area trained in advocacy, UN resolutions and BDS

A 2-day training program, on the 19th and 26th of September 2020, was organized by the JAI, in cooperation with the YMCA Rehabilitation Program, for 10 Palestinian youth with special needs, 6 boys and 4 girls from the Hebron area.

They were trained and got their skills empowered in advocacy mechanisms / tools and how to plan and develop initiatives and campaigns, history of the Israeli colonization and UN resolutions 181, 194, 242 and 338 related to the Palestinian cause, and the Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions Campaign (BDS).

8 Palestinian youth from the Tulkarem area trained in UN resolutions and BDS

A training program in UN resolutions and advocacy for 9 Palestinian youth in Jenin

Another 2-day training program, on the 17th and 24th of August 2020, was organized by the JAI in Jenin area, in cooperation with the YMCA Rehabilitation Program, for 9 of its Palestinian youth beneficiaries, 5 boys and 4 girls.

The training tackled the subjects of: Conditions of youth in Palestine and the UN resolution 2250, women rights and need and UN resolutions 1325, Palestinian civil society organizations role, presentation skills, advocacy mechanisms and tools, and how to develop initiatives.
